Meet Madison

My journey into the world of fashion began at an early age, fueled by a deep passion for creativity. I discovered my love for sewing by crafting clothes for my dolls, sparking a fascination that grew with me over the years. As I progressed through high school, my interest in the fashion industry intensified, leading me to pursue a place in the school's fashion program. Eager to immerse myself in the art of garment creation, I enrolled in every sewing class offered, culminating in the design and presentation of my own collections for the school fashion show, two years in a row.

My dedication to honing my craft extended to a pre-college course at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I delved into the technical intricacies of the sewing process. This hands-on experience continued as I worked at Broadway Tailors, a Tailoring Shop, where I mastered the art of tailoring—marking garments, measuring for custom suits, and altering wedding dresses and formal wear.

In pursuit of formal education, I attended Buffalo State College, majoring in Fashion Design, and studied Advertising and Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, earning two degrees in four years. Seeking a global perspective, I embarked on a transformative journey during my junior year, interning abroad in Milan, Italy, at Milano Confezioni. There, I contributed to creating the first sample pieces for emerging brands while learning the intricacies of garment production.

In 2021, armed with a wealth of experience and knowledge, I launched my own custom apparel business—Madison Rose Collection. Specializing in crafting unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, I bring to life the visions of clients for various occasions, ensuring no creative challenge goes unmet.

For the past few years, I've had the privilege of working at the Fashion Arts Studio in Portchester, New York. This studio is a haven where children converge to embark on a magical journey of creating garments from scratch. Guiding them through every step, we encourage them to challenge themselves while maintaining a fun environment. From the moment I stepped into my teaching role at The Fashion Arts Studio, I knew I had found my true calling. Witnessing young minds sew beautifully crafted garments is a constant source of inspiration. My vision is to create a space where students can be their authentic selves, feel safe and accepted, grow personally and artistically, and create clothing that speaks to their unique personalities.

I am excited about the opportunity to share my knowledge with our future fashion designers. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm looking forward to meeting each and every one of you!
